Drumm Battery Train 60th Anniversay Commemoration [Posted: 25.06.09]

the IHRG are holding a special event on July 12th to commemorate 60 years since the last of the innovative Drumm Battery Trains was withdrawn from service by CIÉ. The event will consist of a short trip on Dublin's LUAS network from Harcourt Street to Sandymount and back. This will be followed by drinks in the Odeon Bar, which is located in the former station building on Harcourt Street. Information sheets detailing a brief history of the Drumm Battery Trains will be available on the day. The day's itinerary is still being finalised so keep checking the website for updates!
